Q. Do I need a fire risk assessment
A. All companies in the UK must comply with the regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order (RRO). Amongst other requirements, this states that you must have means of warning of fire (fire alarm) escape from fire (fire escapes, emergency lighting etc.) and fighting of fire (fire extinguishers). It is also important to have a fire risk assessment, a written fire safety procedure and to ensure your members of staff have training on how to use fire extinguishers.
Q. Do I need my fire alarm serviced
A Yes, usually a bi-annual service is required to BS3389-1 2017 and, in certain circumstances, a quarterly visit is required depending on the risks.
